MATERIAL
Adelfa (Nerium Oleander). Also known as the laurel flower, pink laurel or mountain laurel, the word Adelfa comes from the etymology of the greek word Daphne. Hardy and tenacious define this plant like the Daphne of Mythology who turned herself in a laurel shrub to escape the obsessive attentions of Apollo, and could then live freely in nature.
CRAFT TECHNIQUE
It’s a native species to the Mediterranean basin but also grows in the Sahara, close to where the torrential rains fall, capable of withstanding the harshest of droughts. It was first plant to flower after the Hiroshima atomic bomb. And of course it’s an evergreen shrub type plant.
AFTER CARE & CLEANING
We recommend the use of a dry cloth. To clean any stain, you can apply a cloth with ammonia.
