Hotel Rural Sant Ignasi: The Original Menorca

Being the first rural hotel created on the island, the Hotel Rural Sant Ignasi was born from the renovation of an old vacation house of the aristocracy of Menorca from 1777, a project by the Menorcan Juana Vilafranca, a lover of her land, culture, and way of life. Sant Ignasi is an immersion into the essence of the island, which, among centuries-old holm and cork oaks, invites you to discover the philosophy of “poc a poc”, an expression that defines the lifestyle of Menorca: slow, peaceful, and in deep harmony with its environment.

Every corner of Sant Ignasi is the result of meticulous craftsmanship, with local materials such as marés stone and lime, which respect the traditional Menorcan architecture, while the olive green wooden shutters bring authenticity and freshness to the spaces.

The elements of this project reflect a discreet luxury, which highlights the beauty of the simple and provides a comfort without ostentation. The connection with nature and the history of Menorca is present in every corner: from native plants to unique and handcrafted decorative pieces.
