The style and natural fibres of Let’s Pause take on a new sensibility in this home decorated by the Alto Interiorismo studio. With its unmistakable warm contemporary stamp, the studio has converted every corner of the house into a refuge for surrendering oneself to a slower pace of life, where time is marked by the changing natural countryside and its palette of colours. We are going to guide you through this beautiful mountain home.
In this dwelling located in Llívia, the province of Girona, everything comes together organically, flawlessly, because the Alto Interiorismo team are experts in creating unique mountain spaces: restrained, modern, warmly elegant, in perfect union with nature.
The featured materials are deeply connected with the earth – timber, stone, iron, linen, cotton – and the choices reflect the work of local artisans and their handmade objects
“The key is making sure that the same materials of the surroundings are also part of the interior.”
This is where Let’s Pause connects with its essence. The COURO lamps, the NUS cushions, the MAAR DROP lamp and the FIREFLY lights reflect the colour tones of the forest and the mountains that surround the dwelling. They integrate perfectly with the style of furniture, the rugs, the walls, windows and doors lending a warm homely feeling of contented calm.
“We love the unique look and versatility of the NUS lamp. The fact that it’s woven using natural fibres with the crochet technique lends it a characterful presence.”
However Alto Interiorismo also choose other elements: the VIESTE stools by Let’s Pause are used for the breakfast area of the kitchen; and the BEE garland lights add a magical lighting effect, both inside and outside.
The NUS Pendant lamp illuminates the lounge living area, bedrooms and bathroom. The MAAR Stone lamps look imposing over the dining table within the semi-basement while the COLIBRÍ add a pop of colour and energy to the kitchen and the bedroom.
And lastly, the BOGA portable lamp has also been given a home in this project, in the washroom, but can be easily transported to other parts of the house during the course of the day.
“We at Alto Interior Design love working with Let’s Pause because we think similarly about natural materials hand worked by artisans and because their pieces lend warmth and character.”
