The new hand crafted Cocoa Bean Whisk Molaris, by Let’s Pause is a great example of the brand’s love for organic up-cycling. As well as a beautiful and fascinating decorative object!
Included within the Unique Species series, a selection of limited edition crafted pieces, the Molaris hand whisk suggests the aroma of damp earth, the sound of the rain, of cicadas’ humming, of tropical birds song ..…. The very nature of the environment where the raw material is sourced.
RESPECTING THE RAINFOREST CYCLES
It all starts with the flower of the magnolia, when it closes in on itself to create the fruit that protects the seeds within. When these seeds mature and take on the vibrant red colour that characterises them the fruit opens and birds eat them. Until eventually the fruit drops to the ground.
CREATED BY HAND
That’s when our craftsman collects them and embarks on and age-old tradition that has been practised for hundreds of years: after perforating the base a connecting rod of moncoro wood is added. Then it’s left out to dry: the sun and the heat complete the process.
A BEAUTIFUL DECORATIVE ELEMENT
The result is a one-of decorative and practical object, organic and versatile, add it to a flower display, put it in a vase, a basket, or use it as a centre piece for a table setting.
Because these whisks come in different sizes Let’s Pause has come up with a series of different objects like wall hangers, or wardrobe door handles.
A WHISK TO ADD THE PREFECT CREAMY TEXTURE TO MELTED CHOCOLATE
Although we are far from being a foodie’s blog, nevertheless we have a great cooking tip for you, during these cold winter afternoons when a hot chocolate goes down really well. Remember to keep Molaris handy when in your kitchen, a secret tool that was used in old chocolate plantations for beating chocolate and lending it a creamy, delicate and mouth watering texture.
A NATURAL UTENSIL THAT ONE DAY WILL REVERT TO MOTHER NATURE
We at Let’s Pause believe in our products, we doubt that you’ll ever tire of these gorgeous utensils. But if there comes a time when you want to return it back to Mother Nature, you can. Just burry the whisk in the garden, or the forest or even just a plant pot and it will eventually decompose, like all organic material and turn to earth again.
KEEPING UP AN AGE OLD TRADITION
Brining a Molaris whisk into your home is not just an act of up-cycling which will add a decorative flourish. But it means something altogether more profound, a meaning that goes far beyond the utensil itself, one that tells a legendary tale. It’s a mark of respect, upholding an age-old tradition, one that craftsmen like Joaquín holds dear. Because , just like us at Let’s Pause they love Unique Species and they lobe Mother Nature.
