The new hand crafted Cocoa Bean Whisk Molaris, by Let’s Pause is a great example of the brand’s love for organic up-cycling. As well as a beautiful and fascinating decorative object!

Included within the Unique Species series, a selection of limited edition crafted pieces, the Molaris hand whisk suggests the aroma of damp earth, the sound of the rain, of cicadas’ humming, of tropical birds song ..…. The very nature of the environment where the raw material is sourced.

RESPECTING THE RAINFOREST CYCLES

It all starts with the flower of the magnolia, when it closes in on itself to create the fruit that protects the seeds within. When these seeds mature and take on the vibrant red colour that characterises them the fruit opens and birds eat them. Until eventually the fruit drops to the ground.

That’s when our craftsman collects them and embarks on and age-old tradition that has been practised for hundreds of years: after perforating the base a connecting rod of moncoro wood is added. Then it’s left out to dry: the sun and the heat complete the process.
