This fique bundle reflects the beauty and precision of traditional craftsmanship in the countryside. After the leaf is cut, the green outer layer is carefully removed, and the fiber is skillfully folded to create these bundles, which are then transported to the cooperative.
Once there, the fique is unbundled, washed, and combed, preparing it for its next stage: spinning or, in its coarser form, weaving on a manual loom. The entire process is fully artisanal, preserving techniques passed down through generations.
At Let’s Pause, we present it as a unique decorative piece, rich in history and authenticity. It is not intended for use as a seat, as its structure may come apart with use.
