The MIKKO pendant lamp is a handcrafted piece created in collaboration with Colombian artisan Albeiro Camargo, with whom we have worked closely for many years. Each lamp is made by hand using the Guane weaving technique, an ancestral tradition that demands precision, patience, and sensitivity.

Its shade, woven from natural dark fique—a plant-based fiber native to the Andes—takes on a double-layered, sack-like form that is both lightweight and durable, softly filtering the light to create a warm, enveloping glow. The visible edge of the woven mesh, reminiscent of fine, almost sculptural embroidery, highlights the time and care invested in each piece.

At the top, two pods from the “monkey pot” tree, carefully selected and hand-treated, seal the meeting of earth and light, completing an authentic design in which nature reveals itself in its purest state.
