Cada minuto se usan 1 millón de bolsas de plástico en el mundo. Cerca al 10% del total de los plásticos en el mundo terminan en los océanos. El 70% de los mismos yacen en el fondo del mar, lugar donde nunca serán degradados. Sólo el 5 % de las bolsas son recicladas a nivel global.
