Materials
The defining material of Couro Pod M is Couro, a natural plant-based alternative to leather obtained from the leaves of an American palm tree.
Its fibrous texture, natural sheen and deep chocolate tones resemble the appearance of aged leather, although the material comes entirely from a botanical source. Unlike conventional animal leather, Couro celebrates the beauty of natural plant fibres.
These remarkable palm leaves originally serve a protective function during the plant’s flowering cycle. Once they are no longer needed, Let’s Pause collects them and gives them a new purpose through contemporary design.
The natural surface retains its compact fibres, subtle imperfections and distinctive colour variations. Each leaf has its own character, making every pendant lamp unique.

Artisanal Technique
The Couro Pod M vegan leather pendant light is created through a meticulous handcrafted process that combines technical knowledge, patience and exceptional sensitivity to natural materials.
Each palm leaf is carefully shaped by hand using steam, which makes the material flexible enough to follow the desired design. This traditional process allows the artisan to mould the leaves while preserving their original fibrous texture and natural appearance.
Six palm leaves are arranged organically and joined together with visible handcrafted stitching, creating the distinctive cocoon-inspired silhouette of Couro Pod M.
The exposed seams become an essential part of the design, highlighting the relationship between the natural material and the human craftsmanship that transforms it.
The pendant lamp features a brown aluminium frame and is supplied with a 2.5-metre matte black cotton-covered electrical cable, black lamp holder and plug.
Its warm illumination enhances the rich cocoa tones and natural textures of the palm leaves, creating an intimate and welcoming atmosphere. Couro Pod M is particularly suitable for dining tables, reading corners, bedrooms and carefully designed hospitality spaces.
